Purpose: Company visit to KCMT for technical research on GFRP reinforcement bars
On Monday, September 22, 2025, at 9:30 AM, technical civil servants from Ulju County Office visited KCMT (a company specializing in the production of eco-friendly rebar substitutes) as part of an employee competency enhancement workshop.
The visit included 65 technical civil servants, led by Facilities Officer Lee Jeong-yong. It featured an introduction to KCMT's independently researched and developed eco-friendly GFRP (Glass Fiber Reinforced Polymer) technology and a site tour.
Public officials focused on examining the applicability at construction sites and sustainable building material utilization strategies aligned with the carbon-neutral era, exploring potential integration into future regional construction administration and technical policies.
A KCMT representative stated, “We hope this visit provided Ulju County officials with an opportunity to directly confirm the necessity and future value of eco-friendly new material technologies,” adding, “We will continue to actively collaborate with local governments to drive innovation in the construction industry and achieve carbon neutrality.”
