Ulju County Labor-Municipal Empathy Workshop..."Let's Make a City Where Workers are Happy”  

(Ulsan=Yonhap News) Ulju-gun, Ulsan, hosted the Ulju-gun Labor-Management Sympathy Center on Wednesday and held the '2024 Ulju-gun Labor-Management Sympathy Workshop' at The M Convention in Samnam-eup, Ulju-gun.

The event was attended by members of the Ulju County Labor-Management Council, including Ulju County Governor Lee Soon-gul and Kim Chung-gon, chairman of the Ulsan Headquarters of the Korean Confederation of Trade Unions (KCTU), and others, and was held as a place for various programs and communication. 

The first part of the workshop included a business report on the Ulju County Labor-Management Empathy Center and a special lecture on 'New Industrial Relations in the Era of Artificial Intelligence' by Dr. Jeong Min Jeong (Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology). 

The second part of the event included the presentation of the 2024 Excellent Company for Labor-Management Win-Win Certification Plaque and exchanges between labor, civil society, and government officials. 

Three SMEs, including BOSANG Industries, KCMT, and Occupational Safety Management, received the plaque for excellent SMEs for observing the minimum wage, writing labor contracts, and minimizing wage arrears.  

“Through mutual cooperation and communication between labor and management, I hope it will be a meaningful place to make Ulju a good place for businesses and Ulju County where workers are happy,” said Kim Jae-in, head of the center.

Ulju County Mayor Lee Soon-gul said, “It will be an opportunity for workers, employers, and local residents to think about the future of Ulju County together and gather their will.” “Ulju County will also do its best to support smooth communication and cooperation between labor and management and help workers and companies grow together.”
