KCMT announced on the 8th that it held an MOU signing ceremony for a strategic partnership with Gyeryong E&C at the headquarters of Gyeryong E&C on the 7th.
KCMT CEO Kim Joon-young, Technical Director Jung Joon-ki, and Management Support Team Leader Shin Dong-hyun attended the ceremony, as well as Gyeryong E&C CEO Yoon Gil-ho, Vice President Kim Taek-jung, and Senior Vice President Oh Won-young.

The core of the agreement is to combine KCMT's eco-friendly rebar substitute 'KEco Bar' with Gyeryong E&C's construction technology to set new standards in the field of eco-friendly construction, expand the market for eco-friendly construction materials, and innovate for a sustainable construction industry.

KEco Bar, a premium eco-friendly rebar substitute that dramatically reduces environmental impact by recycling waste plastics, was listed on MOLIT's KDS and KCS for GFRP reinforcement bars for concrete bridges this year, and has also been certified with K-mark and Q-mark. By the end of 2024, the national construction standard is expected to be established. KCMT and Gyeryong E&C plan to revolutionize the eco-friendly construction materials market by combining 'KEco Bar' with outstanding construction technology and present a new paradigm for sustainable construction.

“This MOU is an important first step toward a sustainable construction industry. KCMT's eco-friendly construction material 'KEco Bar' and Gyeryong E&C's technology will combine to set new standards in the global construction market,” said Kim Jun-young, CEO of KCMT.

Through this agreement, the two companies plan to mark a new turning point in promoting sustainable change in the global construction industry. KCMT and Gyeryong E&C plan to lead the global eco-friendly construction market through technological innovation and resource optimization, and serve as a key driver to set new standards for the future construction industry.
